Mohammad: The Messenger, The Leader, and The Legend follows Mohammad from a fatherless childhood within Banu Hashim through the households of Amina, Halima, Abd al-Muttalib, Abu Talib, and Khadija, before revelation transforms the scale of his life. Mecca, persecution, exile, Medina, war, treaty, family, grief, law, mercy, and the return to the sanctuary place the remembered Prophet inside the human relationships and material world in which his mission unfolded. Rather than beginning with the civilization later built in his name, the novel stays with a man carrying revelation while confronting power, debt, slavery, property, women's standing, vengeance, tribal obligation, and the responsibilities of leadership.
